ALEXE
MUSIC:
SINGER/PRODUCER/SONGWRTIER

Originally from Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, Alexe was discovered in 2013 on the TV show La Voix, where she reached the semi-finals. She gained widespread recognition with the song Placebo (over 1 million streams), which she co-wrote, launching her career as it topped the charts for seven consecutive weeks. Alexe has since shone on the Francophone music scene as a singer-songwriter. Her debut album was released in 2016, followed by a tour of more than 50 dates across Quebec. She notably opened for Marc Dupré at the Bell Centre, as well as for Metric and Half Moon Run at the International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

Her success has also extended to France and Belgium with the hit song Mirage (co-written, over 700,000 streams), which received major airplay on Virgin Radio and NRJ. She has earned numerous accolades, including a nomination for “Breakthrough Artist of the Year” at the ADISQ Gala in 2017, as well as winning the SOCAN Song of the Year award twice (2016–2017).

Alexe continues to release hit songs, repeatedly reaching the top of the charts with tracks such as En Silence and, most recently, Night in Paris (French version), in collaboration with Mike Demero and Aloe Blacc. The latter earned her the 2025 SOCAN Award in the “Francophone Popular Song” category. In addition, the lead single from her latest EP Copier Coller, titled Je ne te quitte pas (written following her father’s passing), was named “Success of the Week” and “Strong Reaction” on the charts, while also breaking into the Mediabase Top 10 for over 30 consecutive weeks. The second single, Question Réponse, in collaboration with Statzz, was also designated a “Strong Reaction” on the charts.
Alexe is also an experienced songwriter and is signed with Éditions Bloc-Notes Music. She co-wrote three songs on Jeanick Fournier’s album Vivante, which was nominated for “Adult Contemporary Album of the Year” at the 2023 ADISQ Gala. She also joined a collective of artists paying tribute to Renée Martel on the album C’est Notre Histoire, which likewise received a nomination at the 2023 ADISQ Gala.

Her album 11h11, released in February 2026, marks a pivotal milestone in Alexe’s career. The album brings together the six songs from her latest EP Copier Coller along with six brand-new tracks, forming a deeply personal body of work born from two years of reflection and transformation. A true intimate journal of self-liberation, 11h11 explores the desire to break repetitive patterns and toxic behaviors—whether inherited or unconsciously reproduced. Through music that serves as an emotional backdrop, Alexe embraces the polarity of feelings: anger, clarity, hope, and solitude. She claims the right to a safe space, creative freedom, and self-reconstruction. From uncompromising self-affirmation to the gentleness of mature relationships, the album traces a path where love is not always enough to heal, where letting go becomes necessary, ultimately opening the way to a freer, more conscious, and healthier version of oneself.
